PRESS RELEASE – Launching a sitcome “The Four of 10A8 - Smart Teenspaper”
A series of sitcoms for teenagers staged at the office for the first time

Hanoi - Smart Media JSC on 27 August 2009 held a press conference to officially launch its new sitcom for teenagers THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 - SMART TEENSPAPER , which is staged at the office for the first time.

The sitcom of 260 eight-minute episodes shows humorous stories about young reporters of creativeness and personality at an editorial office for teenagers. The first episode of THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 - SMART TEENSPAPER will premiere on 2 nd September 2010. The sitcom will air on VTV3 at 22:10 from Monday to Friday every week, followed on VTV6 by a repeat of a 30-minute show of some episodes.

Following success of THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8, THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 - SMART TEENSPAPER is the second sitcom TV serial produced by Smart Media. Different from the former, SMART TEENSPAPER is staged at the office, i.e. an editorial office where creative and young people join hands to create a newspaper. This context has never been brought to movies for teenagers in Vietnam. The editorial office is a good working environment in which reporters and freelances can demonstrate themselves and orientate their future career judiciously.

SMART TEENSPAPER focuses on a different facet in life of active, creative and go-ahead teenagers who always desire to demonstrate themselves in their work besides their daily life at family and school. It’s this approach which makes the sitcom vivid. SMART TEENSPAPER accesses the office environment fully youthful, funny, somewhat childlike but extremely right to teenagers’ outlook and feelings, contains a lot of interesting things and secrets.

A young team of a director, an editor and a musician of modern viewpoints will bring youthfulness and novelty to the sitcom. Director Dao Thanh Hung and other directors who will be in charge of the followings, are experienced in TV sitcom production. And it’s Smart Media’s Creative Director, writer of THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 Namcito who create ideas and format to the film.

THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 - SMART TEENSPAPER stars new teenaged actors who were selected carefully and enjoyed a training course in acting, promises a performance extremely natural and appropriate with the film contents. Professional and favourite actors/actresses such as Kieu Thanh, Anh Quan, fashion model/actor Tri Tue, etc. also participate in this sitcom. The sitcom’s invited actors as movie stars and popular comedians in entertainment fields are expected to relax viewers.

During SMART TEENSPAPER comes on the air, its typical episodes will be uploaded on its official website, Youtube, Facebook and etc. The young in every corner of the world will have chances to learn more of how a generation of Vietnamese youth lives and works in a new age. Moreover, SMART TEENSPAPER is planned to air on VTV4 in order to extend target viewer list to Vietnamese overseas. In parallel with reveal of “backstage” secrets, exchanges will be organized for actors/actresses and viewers during the time SMART TEENSPAPER is presented. These activities will attract the youth’s attention. Musician Tang Nhat Tue, who had contribution to success of THE FOUR OF CLASS 10A8 music album, composed two youthful and eventful songs for the new sitcom.
